Since that time, Taneeka has worked and volunteered in the public sector working and advocating for equitable affordable housing policies both locally and nationally. In her former role as a HUD Housing Counselor, she taught voucher clients and landlords on housing policies as well as held workshops on different financial literacy topics. It is this work that drove her passion to start her very first company, Charm City Financial Group in 2021. Taneeka wanted to further help everyday people overcome their credit and financial challenges or barriers that they may have to achieve optimal financial health. Additionally, she also has a passion for assisting
families with building generational wealth through homeownership. It is through her own personal journey to achieving financial health that she understands what the average everyday person experiences.
